The Pleasure of Lockdown

I am a teacher in NY State and our school was shut down mid March, and we had to scramble to get distance learning together. I was lucky to have a couple of students help me set up YouTube! I am a person who is never ever bored at home. I usually love my summers off, but they are always just a bit too short. This being stuck at home thing, though, has given me all the time in the world to do my thing. I was able to get a jump on my perennial gardens, I have been cooking more at home, I have had the opportunity to weave, sew, knit, and garden. I have also had time to market my wares. I feel so fortunate, and so lucky, and despite how difficult and sad and horrible Covid-19 is for the world, for the country and for my students, I am deeply grateful for this time to heal, reflect, grow, and work. If you would like to visit my Etsy shop for hand woven and hand knit items, and a few of my Mom’s gorgeous quilts, go to Breezy Day Handmades, or you can visit Meg Gregory Artist on FaceBook. I prefer the latter because Etsy is fee rich and artisans get poor. I do have some salves and handcrafted oils for sale as well. (Lemon balm, peppermint, oregano, spearmint, yarrow etc.

I hope to hear from you.
